Valentine's Weekend
This Valentine's weekend was very special. It started with Lynn surprising me with a beautiful bouquet of roses delivered to my office on Friday. Then, Friday night he took me to one of my favorite restaurants in Dallas...Campisi's. We had our favorite dishes - I had eggplant parmesian and fettucine and he got his fav lasagna. Can't go wrong with Campisi's. Yum!!! Then Saturday, we spent all day together doing errands and chores. It's always more fun when we do these things together. That evening we went to see Taken - highly recommend. We went to church Sunday, and then to Texas de Brazil Sunday night. Just a perfect weekend with my sweet Valentine. I hope each of you got to spend special time with your Valentines. Have a blessed week!!!!

Harley & Devon come to visit
Devon came to visit before returning to college and brought her new french bulldog, Harley. What is not to love about this precious love? We had a great time playing with her as she is just the most laid back, sweetest dog. We also enjoyed going to the Lakewood area in Dallas for a wonderful dinner at Matt's. Devon is really growing up, and has matured so much during her first year at school. She is planning on transferring to Texas University in San Marcos next year, and we think this will be a great opportunity for her. I have talked to her about getting a job to enhance her resume when she does finally graduate. We had an intelligent conversation about the economy, the new President, and life in general. It was great to see her, and hear about her goals for the future. I just really enjoyed my college years, and made some life-long friends; I pray the same for her. College really is about growing up and being responsible. She seems to be adjusting well, and seems to be headed in the right direction. Please pray that God will continue to guide her and keep her safe.
Also, thank you to each and every one of you who have continued praying for my grandmother, Annie Laura. She has just amazed us all (including her doctors, nurses, and PTs) with her speedy recovery. We just thank God for his healing of her. She has such a strong faith and great attitude - just like Landon - this has been key in both of their recoveries. Many have asked me about Landon - he is improving daily. He uses his walker quite a bit, but can take several steps on his own. He keeps that spunky, "I can do it" attitude, and always has a smile. Many kind thanks for continued prayers for both of them.
I hope you are having a wonderful and exciting 2009. Thank you for blessing me with your friendship.

Urgent Prayer Requests, Please
Please pray for my grandmother, Annie Laura. She fell in her home last night and broke her hip. My sister just let me know that she has come out of surgery for a partial hip replacement and that things went really well. I got to speak to her before surgery, and let her know how many folks were praying for her. She told me that she really appreciate that, and is very comforted that kind folks are doing this for her. I told her she was my "Steel Magnolia" and we were going to do everything to see that her recovery is as easy as it can be. We are just going to have to spoil her the way she always has done us. Lots of love and laughter. She has such a positive attitude and strong faith and I know this will help in her recovery.
On a sad note, my friend, Julie, lost her mom to lung cancer this morning. Please keep her and her family in your prayers. She was very close to her and this is going to be a tough time for all of them.
Also, my cousin, Donna, fell down the stairs yesterday in her home and broke her leg in three places. She is wheel-chair bound for at least four weeks...may be more. She has three active kiddos so this is going to make it very difficult.
And please continue to pray for Baby Harper - she is in the NICU unit with lung problems.
Thank you for being such great prayer warriors!!!
Much love!!!
